»It maybe a good idea to have something like that in Federal Way. However, Twin Lakes area is so far in from the I-5 that I don't think it will be as successful as the University Village. Perhaps have a supplemental shopping district near the Sea-Tac Mall(Commons) may work better.
»We need to think of the big picture here. If we really do value community, health, and transportation choices then steps must be made to allow Federal Way to fulfill those goals.
Frankly I think that we're already far behind the curve regarding bicycle infrastructure - just look around at some of the other communities in the Northwest.
This should pay itself back to the community. There are the initial jobs to implement the plan, then once it is in place it provides the opportunity for citizens to save on car ownership costs, and in the long run it helps foster a more tight-knit community. The time is now!

»I hate to post this here... but I can't find another option. Is there a way to get a hold of the Federal Way Engage Administrators directly? I had a few questions. I've only been able to find an e-mail address for Nathan, the COO of MindMixer, but he has no direct connection to Federal Way.
»I prefer Biking. It's my main mode of transportation, and would hope if biking were make easier, more people would do it. Federal Way is a beautiful city to bike in. Driving is pretty simple in the city. Not had any problem getting around. So new improvements there do not seem to be a high priority. More sidewalks for walking is in the works already and that is great. And lastly, if there was a way to get the light rail to make it down here that would be awesome!
»Tax incentives to new businesses, and streamline the paperwork and permits needed to get businesses into buildings. The city should spend some time seeking out exactly what it is they would like to fill the space and court them to set up shop there.
»In a dream world where new ideas could be implemented; I'd love to see things get closer to the roads and a Shared Space be implemented. It's bit of a radical idea in the US.
